Tinplate(SPTE) is a common name for electroplated tin steel sheets, which refers to cold-rolled low-carbon steel sheets or strips coated with commercial pure tin on both sides. Tin mainly acts to prevent corrosion and rust. It combines the strength and formability of steel with the corrosion resistance, solderability and aesthetic appearance of tin in a material with corrosion resistance, non-toxicity, high strength and good ductility.Tin-plate packaging has a wide range of coverage in the packaging industry because of its good sealing, preservation, light-proof, ruggedness and unique metal decoration charm. Because of its strong antioxidant, diverse styles and exquisite printing, tinplate packaging container is popular with customers, and widely used in food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, commodity packaging, instrument packaging, industrial packaging and so on.
Shanghai AIYIA Industrial Co., Ltd. supplies various specifications of Double reduced (DR) tinplate and Single reduced (SR) tinplate. At present, the tinplate produced by AIYIA has been exported to many countries around the world, such as Italy, Russia, Tunisia, Thailand, Brazil and other countries. It is widely used in food packaging and chemical product packaging. We provide high-quality tinplate that meets international standards.

Applications of Tinplate
SPTE is primarily used for packaging foodstuffs and beverages, but it is also used in containers for oils, grease, paints, polishes, chemicals and many other products. Aerosol containers and caps and closures are also made from ETP.
We provide coil and sheet packaging methods according to customer needs, so that the product packaging is waterproof, fireproof, and moisture-proof to ensure that the product is safely transported to the destination.
Features of Tinplate Products
1.Excellent Corrosion Resistance: By selecting a proper coating weight, appropriate corrosion resistance is obtained against container contents.
2.Excellent Paintability & Printability: Printing is beautifully finished using various lacquers and inks.
3.Excellent Solderability & Weldability: SPTE is widely used for making various types of cans by soldering or welding.
4.Excellent Formability & Strength: By selecting a proper temper grade, appropriate formability is obtained for various applications as well as the required strength after forming.
5.Beautiful Appearance: SPTE is characterized by its beautiful metallic luster. Products with various kinds of surface roughness are produced by selecting the surface finish of the substrate steel sheet.
Different Features between Tin free steel and Tinplate
|Appearance||Even if original plates with the same surface state are used, the surface appearance of TFS is different from that of SPTE, and they exhibit different metallic chrome gloss.|
|Corrosion resistance||The printed TFS has excellent corrosion resistance, so it is usually printed on both sides; however, depending on the type of content, the inner and surface of the can Prime iron.|
|Solderability||TFS is not compatible with soldering|
|Weldability||Although TFS can be welded when the metallic coating layers are removed, its weldability is inferior to SPTE|
|Coating weights||TFS generally has only one coating thickness, while SPTE has a series of thickness standards.|
Usage Precautions for SPTE
1.As SPTE is covered by soft metallic tin coatings, due precautions should be taken not to cause scratches
2.Paintability, printability, solderability, and mechanical properties of SPTE tend to deteriorate as time elapses
3.Although SPTE has excellent corrosion resistance, it tends to rust in a humid atmosphere. Use as soon as possible after unpacking.
4.Tin is dissolved by a strongly alkaline solution. When using SPTE for making cans for alkaline contents, paint the internal surface.
5.As contents that contain sulfur cause blackening of the SPTE surface, paint the internal surface.
